The Kiwi Wedding Experience
This is the venue for couples who’ve made New Zealand home, or who’ve always called it home. Nestled in the Waitakere Ranges, Tui Hills is where Tui and Kereru swoop between the trees in the fern and Nikau palm garden. Just 30 minutes from town, you’ll find the essence of Aotearoa, and famous Kiwi hospitality.
We had a great experience with Tui Hills from the beginning to end. We fell in love with the venue’s look and packages – which prompted us to book straight away.
Being lovers of the Waitakere Ranges and all the greenery, it was the perfect place to tie the knot. The glade, the newly redone pavilion and the reception hall were beautiful.

How Much For All This?
We’ll help you create the wedding venue package you want – with food, drink & more. Typically costing $5,000-20,000, there are options for smaller guest numbers & budgets.
The moment we stepped into Tui Hills, it was as if the place whispered “welcome home.” It was us in every sense – from the ambiance to the warm and welcoming staff .
We fell in love with the venue on our first visit to Tui Hills. The ceremony space was lovely and green, felt intimate and was accompanied by bird song.
All-Weather Option
Find out why couples worried about getting caught in the rain are turning to Tui Hills for a stunning wet-weather option in the new Nikau Pavilion.
With 160 sqm of floor area, the pavilion provides a ton of space for 120 guests for the ceremony and cocktail hour. With a roof height of 7m and large glass walls on all four sides, you won’t feel deprived of the native garden look that Tui Hills is famous for.
The translucent roof with white draping also provides an escape from the strong summer sun and a fabulous even light for your photos.
By sliding the walls and doors open, you’ll feel connected to the garden and enjoy plenty of cool air.
Wedding Accommodation
Whether you want a romantic suite all to yourself, want to provide accommodation for the whole wedding party, or have overseas guests who need a room for the night, there’s a solution just a couple of minutes walk from Tui Hills.
Chapman House, next door at 1010 Scenic Drive, has a commanding view over the venue toward the city. It accommodates up to 10 people in a premium homestay with modern, refurbished kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms, and a large lounge-dining area that opens on to a spacious deck.
Bookings are managed directly through the property’s own website on a first come, first served basis – so it’s advisable to get in early to secure the dates you’re looking for.

We celebrate the multi-cultural nature of weddings today, with traditional rituals and culture mixing with modern Kiwi style. We can work with all couples to meet their specific requirements relating to religious and cultural needs and have created specific packages for Chinese, Indian and Pasifika weddings. Celebrating Equality
On August 19, 2013, the Marriage Amendment Act made it possible for New Zealanders to marry regardless of sexual orientation. It’s a date to be celebrated.
