Impress With Wedding Cocktails

A Fun Way to Get The Party Started

There are plenty of ways to personalise a wedding, from decoration to music and more. How about cocktails for each of the wedding couple?

You can do his and hers, hers and hers or his and his! The main thing is to come up with a great name and a taste that will appeal to each person. It’s a great task for wedding attendants, although as with the drink itself, the couple should always have a veto.

An easy formula for coming up with a name is to use the name of the drink along with the person’s name, such as an Old Fashioned James or a Bubbly Stephanie Spritzer or a Mandy Martini. We’re sure you can come up with something even better yourself! The cocktails can even be non-alcoholic mocktails.

Tui Hills will soon be offering a standard cocktail list to make the creation of the couple’ cocktails a little easier, so don’t forget to

For weddings in 2021 in particular these are proving a real hit, helping to make some fun photos and great memories.

Here are three tried and true favourites for you to consider:

Old Fashioned

Rye Whiskey, Sugar, Bitters & Orange
Served in a rock glass

Invented simply to disguise bootleg whiskies, a few dashes of bitters and a twist are the best way to smooth out a whisky and bring out the residual sweetness. One for him?

Cosmopolitan

Vodka, cranberry, Cointreau & Lime
Served in a martini glass

Is there a classier cocktail for the sophisticated woman? We doubt it. The secret to a Perfect Cosmopolitan is to use good quality vodka and clean ingredients.

Aperol Spritz

Aperol, Prosecco & Soda
Served in a wine glass with ice

Aperol is one of the most popular aperitifs in Italy. It has a bright orange colour and unique taste thanks to a secret recipe, which hasn’t changed since 1919.
