Wedding Packages

Tui Hills offers three distinct wedding packages based primarily on the amount of time couples want to put into organising the big day. We explain below the features of the packages and how the wedding organisation differs for each.

When selecting the package you want, please be aware there’s no scope for mix and match between them. If you’re uncertain, the best option is to select a Classic package and then review what’s on offer with the other packages to see if you’d like to make a change. 

Classic

Be Across Every Detail

This is a traditional type of wedding where the venue is hired and the wedding couple either use a wedding planner (which could be from Tui Hills) or do the work themselves to organise the day. 

If you like being involved in the details and interviewing and selecting all suppliers, this is the choice for you.

That said, the venue hire includes much more than just use of the grounds and buildings. Venue-owned furniture and tableware hire is free. Wait, bar staff, pack down and cleaning are also priced in.

We can recommend suppliers we know and trust for the celebrant, photographer, DJ (or band), florist and more, plus those who hire crockery, cutlery, tables, props, drapery, flower walls, balloons and lighting.

If you’d like to use any of those recommended suppliers, we can put you in touch, or you can choose other people, including friends and family. 

It’s up to you or your planner to negotiate fees (including with people we recommend), decide on styling details, arrange site visits, rehearsals and so on. 

Apart from making the venue available according to our standard appointment times and liaising on the day, Tui Hills’ staff leave it all to you – unless we’re your planners of course.

Food and drink are purchased from the venue via our Nectar Room bar and catering partner Free Range Chef.  With a Classic wedding, you can even meet with Executive Chef Stephen Weeks to create a menu from scratch. Tastings can be arranged at an additional cost.

The Package Includes:  

  • Venue Hire – exclusive use of the entire venue (9am to midnight)
  • Wait and bar staff
  • Venue-owned furniture including ceremony chairs, outdoor furniture in the Nikau Pavilion, tables and chairs indoors, lounge suite and incidental furniture
  • Venue-owned tableware – crockery, cutlery and glassware
  • Lawn games
  • Food and drink purchased from Free Range Chef’s concierge or bespoke menus and from Tui Hills’ bar (tastings available at extra cost)
  • Pack-down and cleaning of the venue after the event

Available For Additional Hire/Supply Direct From The Venue:

  • Green wall
  • Wooden wedding arch
  • Neon signs and giant LOVE letters (on availability)
  • Floral styling of tables, mantelpiece, bar including extra candle holders and vases
  • Photobooth (digital only) with props and backdrop (2 hour min)
  • PA for the celebrant
  • Wedding plannings service/help with set-up – blocks of 5-hours
  • We can also arrange outside hire/supply of alternative/extra furniture, tableware, linen, plants, props, photobooths – you name it!

Concierge

Timesaving Style

If you’d like to avoid having to spend hours working out menus from scratch and deciding which spoons, table runners and flowers to get – preferring instead to spend time on finding the right celebrant, photographer and DJ – a Concierge wedding could be the option for you.

Perhaps best thought of as Classic wedding with styling added, a Concierge has everything at the venue taken care of by the Tui Hills team: setting up the venue-owned tables and tableware, and venue flowers to a style and standard you’ve selected from the available range. All you have to do is take care of any of the smaller details such as favours, guests books and so on.

The food can be selected from the excellent range of existing menus created specially for Tui Hills by Free Range Chef – another item taken care of. Tastings can be arranged at an additional cost.

As with the Classic wedding package, for the rest of the wedding (everything brought to the venue), you can decide to use the suppliers we

recommend, or go further afield for your choices. Liaison with vendors on anything beyond venue styling and/or with non-recommended vendors is over to you – or you can hire us as your wedding planners.

  • 5 hours set-up assistance on the day
  • Floral styling of tables, mantelpiece, bar including extra candle holders and vases
  • Food and drink purchased from Free Range Chef’s selected menus and Tui Hills’ bar (tastings available at extra cost)
  • Pack-down and cleaning of the venue after the event

Available For Additional Hire/Supply Direct From The Venue:

Concierge Plus

Making It Easy

Be relaxed on your wedding day, and in the months before, with a Concierge Plus package where most of the day is organised for you.

All you have to do is decide on the food menu and pick the cake (tastings can be arranged at an extra cost), choose a celebrant and photographer from our lists, choose the floral option from our range of styles, select the DJ and music you want, and decide on the size of the drinks package.  We help you with those choices as part of the 15 hours of wedding planning in the package, including any add-ons or upgrades where our recommended suppliers are involved such as balloons, draping or neon signs.  We even make the bookings.

And if you want to use some suppliers not on our recommended lists, including family and friends, these can be substituted so that you still get the benefits of the Concierge Plus format.

A lot of the planning can be done with a few hours online, and talking to our team and recommended vendors over the phone.  An on-site meeting or two with one of our wedding coordinators is available. Beyond that, it’s over to you to organise meetings with vendors, including the celebrant to work out the vows and details of your ceremony, and with the photographer and/or videographer to talk over shot lists and so on. Overall, your wedding should take just a few days to put together.

Our recommended suppliers have been selected on the quality of what they provide, their experience, versatility and track record. Knowledge of the venue and surrounding area (in the case of photographers) has also been considered.

Our aim is to deliver a low-stress wedding where couples don’t find themselves mired in ongoing decision-making and negotiation involving an endless array of suppliers. Part of that concept involves delivering package prices as opposed to costing every knife, fork and flower.

The final cost is dependent on the choices of celebrant, photographer and so on.

  • 15 hours wedding planning/set-up assistance
  • Floral styling of tables, mantelpiece, bar including extra candle holders and vases
  • Food and drink purchased from Free Range Chef’s selected menus and Tui Hills’ bar (tastings available at extra cost)
  • Flowers – bride’s bouquet and groom’s buttonhole
  • Celebrant – cost dependent on your choice
  • Photographer/videographer – cost dependent on your choice
  • Two or three-tier wedding cake (depending on guest numbers)
  • DJ for ceremony and reception
  • Pack-down and cleaning of the venue after the event

Change/Vendor Guidelines

Additions, Alterations, Outside Suppliers

There are some guidelines to be aware of if deviating from the services and items listed as part of the Concierge/Concierge Plus Wedding packages, or if using vendors not on Tui Hills’ recommended lists.

Additional and/or substituted items incur extra costs, which may include administration, delivery or labour charges even if working with our recommended suppliers. For instance, if extra flowers beyond what’s specified in our Concierge styling packages are to be added to the rotunda this will be at extra cost, including any set-up or delivery.

When non-recommended vendors/suppliers are used (which applies to Classic Weddings also), Tui Hills undertakes to receive deliveries within the specified delivery times on the wedding day free of charge. Beyond that, fees may be charged for liaison and set-up.

All items supplied by non-recommended vendors must be removed from the venue on the night of the wedding by the vendor or wedding party. Storage and packdown fees will be charged if items are left behind. If in doubt about what might attract an extra charge, please ask your wedding coordinator. 

All services and items being supplied by Tui Hills, including the costs, are listed in the proposals and Event Details Confirmation. Anything not specified in those documents should not be presumed to be part of the package, even if there have been discussions about their possible or probable inclusion. 

Extra Charges May Apply For: 

  • Additional services or items not covered by your wedding package
  • The costs of set-up and/or liaison for Tui Hills’ staff dealing with non-recommended vendors/suppliers
  • Wedding planning services not covered by your wedding package, such as time spent sourcing vendors
  • Delivery costs for non-standard items
  • Price changes (up to 5%) to take account of increased costs for weddings in subsequent season. Prices are reviewed each May.

To avoid surprises, please ask your wedding coordinator about any possible extra charges. Details of  what is covered in your package, and the price, are supplied in writing.
