By the time the ceremony, reception and dancing are over, expect to feel the happiness of knowing your special day lived up to expectations – a joyful ceremony, the taste experience of food and drink fit for any top restaurant, tired feet from dancing the night away to great music, and the knowledge that every important detail from centrepieces to lighting was taken care of by our friendly staff. 

Luxury In the Heart of Nature

Catering for up to 120 guests, there are three ceremony areas as well as outdoor and indoor options for the reception. 

You can marry in the secluded Kowhai Glade where ferns cast their distinctive shade on the lawn.  The Nikau Pavilion, with its huge canopy, is the perfect setting for summer outdoor receptions or an outdoor ceremony in inclement weather. The indoor option is the sumptuous Nectar Room with bar and dance area.

Weddings typically start at 3pm, going through to midnight and the whole venue is exclusively yours for the day.

The Kowhai Glade

For summer ceremonies and that first bottle of champagne.  Also great for lawn games.

The Nikau Pavilion

Perfect for outside dining, or the wedding ceremony itself in inclement weather.

The Nectar Room

Native timber floors, hanging garden, fireplace and air-conditioned dance floor make a special indoor space.

The Classic Wedding

This is going to be the biggest day of your life, and you want to be across all the details – seating, catering, guest lists, table centrepieces, the music and more.

Tui Hills is the perfect backdrop for an event that you and/or your wedding planner will choreograph to be a unique experience.

Use of Tui Hills’ caterer and bar is part of the package. The menu can be chosen from ones already prepared for the venue, or you can work with Chef Stephen Weeks to create your own.

You decide on all other suppliers, whether they’re recommended by us or come from further afield, including family and friends.

 

The Concierge Wedding

We organise the tables, seating and tableware. Our florist looks after the venue flowers according to the style you select. That leaves you to choose the menu from Free Range Chef and select and organise the rest of the suppliers.

The Concierge Plus

Planning your wedding can take just a few days with the Concierge Plus package.  We do most of the organising while you choose the celebrant, photographer, cake, music and bridal flowers from lists of recommended suppliers. Best of all, you have minimal stress and can concentrate on looking forward to your big day.

Food + Drink

Dining at Tui Hills showcases the best of fresh local ingredients, with a contemporary New Zealand style and plenty of choices – all created by the dedicated team from the Free Range Chef, lead by the Chef himself Stephen Weeks.

Enjoy a selection of canapes, then shared plates of slow-cooked lamb shoulder, Asian oranged-spice pork, roasted free-range chicken and much more, served at the table family-style.  Or choose from a range of grazing themes such as Mediterranean Mezze, Classic Kiwi Grazer, All American and Decadent Desserts.

For an ultra-social form of dining, canapes can be teamed with substantial “walk and fork” dishes that can be eaten sitting down or standing up.

Eating outside under the cover of the Nikau Pavilion, or inside, a gourmet barbeque in true Kiwi style is another great option.

All dietary needs are catered for. Vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free options come as standard. Other specific requirements can be accommodated on request.

The drinks list at Tui Hills is headed by two of the world’s great champagnes, Veuve Clicquot and Moet & Chandon.

The Nectar Room bar also offers a wide range of Soho and local West Brook wines, plus draught lager on tap, craft beer from Cassels & Sons and a full range of spirits. That includes Lavender-infused gin from Riverhead’s Lavender Hill. Refreshments can be paid for with a drinks package and/or on consumption, all at affordable prices.

A New Vision

One of Auckland’s most popular wedding venues under a previous name, Tui Hills has built on that history and the natural beauty of its Scenic Drive location by regenerating the gardens and refurbishing and updating all facilities in 2019.

A contemporary look with warmth and personality has been created, with matching style and standard of cuisine.

With a team of seasoned professionals from front-of-house to the back office, wedding couples and their guests can now enjoy the experience of a lifetime.
