Where to Make Special Memories

An important part of a successful wedding is the capturing of memories in timeless photographs. Picking a great photographer is important, so is choosing the right spots as a backdrop.

Tui Hills is blessed by a location that allows couples to get stunning photos around the venue, or travel just a few minutes to get immersed in the stunning scenery of the wild west coast. Here are four of the favourite photo spots from recent weddings:

The Secluded Fountain

Just a few feet from the ceremony area, down a white shell path you’ll find our fountain, in a cozy glade that gives the effect of being deep in the native bush. That’s just one o many spots around the grounds. (Photo: Sarah Weber)

Pukematekeo Lookout

The lookout is one of the most popular settings for photographs because of its clear space for group shots, elevation and handy location around the corner from Tui Hills. There’s even a trig station for a prop.

Bethells Beach

About 15 minutes from drive from Tui Hills, Bethells offers some stunning settings on the sand, in the sand dunes and near the green-topped cliffs. Amazing textures, with that wild look. (photo: Fay Carey)

A Big Surprise

Just down the road from Tui Hills, Te Henga Road Quarry provides a series of textures, backdrops and elevations that can create a range of beautiful scenic shots. (photo: Fay Carey)
