A Golden Wedding

Vanessa and Mo’s Fantastic Celebration

When the skies are threatening to open up on your big day, the way to make sure you have an amazing wedding is to make the most of the indoor spaces. West Aucklanders Vanessa Noronha and Mo Shenaan didn’t let the rain ruin their day as these wonderful pictures show.

With uncertain weather for their May date, the couple’s ceremony and reception were held in the Nectar Room, with photos being taken outside in the Kowhai Glade and garden in between the showers.

“The set up indoors was intimate and beautiful and we could use the garden area for our photos, which turned out great,” says Vanessa.
“We chose the Classic Plus package which included the styling, and this was very useful as the setting up and decorations were all taken care off.

“Our tables and venue were set up beautifully according to our wishes. The flower table runners and bar vase matched the theme and colours that we were after.”

Vanessa and Mo were stars on the dancefloor and loved the food and drink options.

“The food was delicious. Massive portions and all the guests commented on how wonderful it all was. There was a lot of food and everyone had plenty.

“The ‘his and hers’ cocktails were a great addition and were a big hit with the guests – especially the Elderflower Girl cocktail. The drinks package meant that there was plenty of options for all guests, as well as a wide selection of other drinks.”

“We organised our own DJ and music and we were a little concerned that required sound levels would be too quiet, however on the day, there were no issues with that. The music was definitely loud enough, and we danced the night away.”

Vanessa had a special thank you for the Tui Hills team who made sure the day went off without a hitch, despite the weather.

“Shelby looked after us leading up to the wedding and throughout the wedding day. She was amazing! Any issues and queries that came up were dealt with swiftly and nothing was too much trouble.

“Two days before the wedding, when the weather forecast looked terrible, Shelby came up with a Plan C, got in touch and was more than happy for me to come in and revisit the ceremony layout and location. On the wedding day she was extremely helpful and kept us informed of what was going on (through the bridal party) so that we could concentrate on enjoying the day and night.”
