Trust Your Suppliers
Fab Wedding Advice – Part 7 of a 10-part series
Once you’ve chosen the venue and vendors to make your wedding a reality, relax and let them do just that. You’ll enjoy your day so much more than if you keep trying to do their job for them. As the old saying goes, “why have a dog and bark yourself?”
The recommended process is to work out your vision, find the people who can deliver it, and then leave them to do what they do best. As you’ve chosen competent professionals, you can be sure that each of them has years of experience, collectively you’re probably looking at many decades.
Even if you have some expertise in a particular area, such as you did a floristry course, or even work as a florist or cakemaker, it’s still a good idea to let your suppliers get on with their jobs. It’s rare that people do their best work when someone else is constantly looking over their shoulders.
Remember too, that styles change, and the peculiarities of the venue, time of year and so on have to be taken into account.
That doesn’t mean you can’t be invloved in letting your vendors know your preferences. They’ll ask you for those anyway before and during the process. The great news is that you get all the choice without the worry or responsibility, giving you a great, stressfree day.
